INSIZE ISD-V500HN CNC Vision Measuring System (With Computer), 18.5×14.57×15.75"
The collection carries 22 INSIZE products across two distinct categories: CNC Vision Measuring Systems and on-machine optical transmission probes. The vision measuring systems span the ISD-V220, ISD-V270, ISD-V370, and ISD-V500 series — available in multiple stage sizes, travel heights, and lens configurations — as well as the ISD-E320 and ISD-E430 all-in-one models. The on-machine measurement side is covered by the INSIZE 9407 Series optical transmission probes in five probe lengths, plus the 9407-1A optical receiver.
A CNC vision measuring system uses a high-resolution camera, precision optics, and motorized CNC axes to capture 2D and 3D dimensional data from parts without physical contact. Unlike traditional coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), which use a touch probe that physically contacts the part surface, vision systems measure geometrically complex features such as edges, holes, radii, profiles purely through optical detection. This makes them faster for high-volume inspection, non-destructive for delicate or soft materials, and highly suited to parts with fine features that a contact probe might damage or skip. All INSIZE systems in this collection include a computer with measurement software pre-installed.
The series designations reflect measuring range and stage size, scaling up in both capacity and price. The ISD-V220 offers a stage size of 17.72×11.02" with a class travel of 12.05×7.72". The ISD-V270 steps up to a 19.69×12.99" stage with 13.78×9.84" class travel. The ISD-V370 provides a larger 23.86×18.35" stage with 17.72×13.78" class travel, while the ISD-V500 accommodates the broadest range of part sizes. All ISD-V series models share a resolution of 0.00002" on X/Y/Z axes and a repeatability of 0.00008" on X/Y, making them consistent in precision regardless of the travel size selected.
These suffixes indicate Z-axis travel height and lens type. The "A" suffix denotes a shorter Z-axis travel of 5.90", suitable for flatter workpieces. The "HN" suffix indicates an extended Z-axis travel of 11.81", accommodating taller parts up to 6.30" in height critical for three-dimensional or stepped components. The "Z" prefix in models like ISD-V370ZHN-U indicates a motorized zoom lens (0.7X–4.5X, producing 20X–128X magnification on a 19.5" monitor), while "CNCA" models use a fixed-magnification lens configuration at a lower price point. The "ZA" models combine motorized zoom with the shorter Z travel. Selecting the right suffix combination depends on your part height and the level of magnification flexibility your inspection workflow requires.
The ISD-E320 and ISD-E430 are self-contained, all-in-one CNC vision measuring systems where the display, computer, and optics are integrated into a single compact unit, eliminating the need for a separate desktop tower. The ISD-E320 offers a 300×200×200mm measuring volume and the ISD-E430 expands to 400×300×200mm. These models are well-suited for QC labs where bench space is limited or where a streamlined, single-cabinet setup is preferred over a traditional separate-computer configuration.
The INSIZE 9407 Series are on-machine measurement (OMM) probes designed to mount directly in the spindle of a CNC machining center. Rather than removing a part from the machine to inspect it on a separate CMM or vision system, these probes allow the operator to measure features such as bores, surfaces, and reference points while the workpiece remains fixtured on the machine. This eliminates re-fixturing errors, reduces cycle time, and enables mid-run verification without interrupting production. The 9407 Series transmits via optical signal and includes spindle protection function, multi-channel anti-interference transmission, and automatic power-off after three seconds of inactivity.
Five probe lengths are available: 5.748" (9407-1), 5.866" (9407-5), 7.087" (9407-3 and 9407-4), and 8.976" (9407-2). Probe length selection depends on your machine's spindle-to-part clearance and the depth of features you need to access. Longer probes reach deeper into bores or cavities but may introduce more deflection under cutting loads; shorter probes offer greater rigidity. All models support optical transmission ranges of 1m, 3m, or 5m between probe and receiver. The 9407-1A optical receiver is a required companion component for any 9407 Series probe installation.
INSIZE CNC vision measuring systems in this collection use a multi-illumination approach to maximize edge detection and surface contrast across different material types. Systems are equipped with transmitted (transmitted light from below the stage), surface (ring light from above), and contour lighting modes selectable based on the measurement task. Transparent or translucent parts benefit from transmitted light for sharp edge contrast, while opaque machined parts are typically measured using surface illumination. The combination of lighting modes in a single system gives quality engineers the flexibility to inspect a wide variety of part materials and surface finishes without hardware changes.
All INSIZE ISD-V and ISD-E systems in this collection ship with a computer and run on Windows 7/8/10. The included measurement software supports a full suite of 2D geometric measurements including point, line, circle, arc, angle, distance, and profile analysis, as well as GD&T evaluation for flatness, straightness, roundness, and parallelism. CNC automation allows users to program measurement routines that execute automatically across repeat parts, capturing dozens of features per cycle without operator intervention. This makes the systems particularly valuable for production-floor QC where the same part program runs continuously across a production batch.
