The Magnetics collection carries 12 Mag-Mate products from Industrial Magnetics and are all powered by permanent rare-earth magnets and designed for industrial lifting, positioning, clamping, and access work involving ferrous materials. The lineup spans the DynamicLift (334 lb compact lifter), the Creative Lift series (1,500–3,000 lb plate handling), the AdvantageLift (1,600 lb), the PowerLift series (1,600–2,500 lb), the Flaig FX Universal series (900–6,600 lb flat and round), the Flaig FXR Round Part series (curved and cylindrical stock), the Vertical Lift Adapter, Magnetic Clamping Blocks, the Mag-Pry magnetic pry bar, the Manhole Cover Lift Dolly System, the Manhole Powerarm, and the Septic Lid Lift System. These tools eliminate slings, chains, and manual prying for safer, faster material handling across fabrication shops, warehouses, utility crews, and construction sites.

Slings and chains introduce attachment points, wrapping time, and the risk of surface damage, scratching, or coating contamination, particularly problematic on finished steel plates, painted surfaces, or precisely machined parts. Chains can also slip off the workpiece during a lift if the geometry doesn't cooperate. Permanent magnetic lifters attach in seconds with a single handle rotation directly to the flat or curved steel surface, require no rigging hardware, and release cleanly without contact scratching through the internal release mechanism. Beyond speed and surface protection, they reduce the overall number of people needed for a lift which most Mag-Mate products are designed for single-operator use, which directly reduces labor cost and eliminates the communication risks inherent in coordinated multi-person rigging.

The Creative Lift series (CL1500, CL2200, CL3000) is Mag-Mate's plate-handling magnet line, covering 1,500 lb, 2,200 lb, and 3,000 lb working load limits. The defining features that set it apart from the other lifter families are its 12-pole magnetic array and its patented non-marring roller cam release mechanism. The 12-pole design spreads magnetic force across a wide contact area on the workpiece surface, improving grip uniformity on thin or slightly irregular plate. The roller cam releases the workpiece by rolling across the surface rather than sliding, which prevents the surface scoring that conventional release mechanisms can produce on polished, painted, or coated steel. The spring-return handle returns to the ready position automatically, and a secondary jack-screw release provides an additional safety backup. The stainless-steel housing resists corrosion, and heat resistance is rated to 300°F (148°C) which is 120°F higher than most of the other lifter families in the collection.

The DL0334 DynamicLift is Mag-Mate's compact general-purpose lifting magnet, with a 334 lb working load limit and an overall unit weight of just 13.3 lbs. Its compact footprint (approximately 4¼" × 4" × 3" magnet face) makes it suitable for work in tight spaces where larger lifters cannot maneuver, and its ability to lift both flat and round workpieces horizontally and flat workpieces vertically giving it versatility beyond a single geometry. It is the right choice for moderate-weight parts handling in fabrication shops, warehouses, and maintenance operations: steel plates, billets, blocks, flanges, and tooling that need to be moved without slings or crane hooks. For heavier loads, the PowerLift, Creative Lift, or Flaig FX series scale the same permanent magnet concept up to 6,600 lb.

The Flaig FX Universal series handles both flat and round steel in a single design with five model sizes from 900 lb (FX0900, 25 lb unit weight) to 6,600 lb (FX6600, 366 lb unit weight), making it the widest-range lifting magnet family in the collection. Its 90° locking handle and nickel-plated corrosion-resistant construction suit continuous-duty fabrication shop use with heat tolerance to 180°F. The Flaig FXR Round Part series is purpose-optimized for curved and cylindrical geometry such as shafts, billets, pipes, and round bar where the pole spacing of a flat-face magnet would underperform. The FXR's pole layout is shaped to maximize magnetic contact on round surfaces, producing rated holding force on the geometry where the FX, while capable, loses some efficiency. Both families are ASME B30.20 certified with a 3:1 design factor and ship with load-test documentation.

The Vertical Lift Adapter (VLA0800 and VLA1600) is a steel frame accessory that converts a horizontal PowerLift magnet into a vertical lifting device, allowing steel plates and flat stock to be lifted and moved in a standing orientation rather than flat. This is the typical requirement when loading steel into vertical storage racks, transferring plates directly to the face of a machining center or drill press, or standing plate against a wall during layout. Without a vertical adapter, handling plate in vertical orientation conventionally requires slings, multiple people, and significant crane maneuvering. The VLA0800 accepts the PNL0800 magnet and handles sheets up to 8 ft × 4 ft; the VLA1600 pairs with the PNL1600 and handles sheets up to 10 ft × 4 ft. Built-in forklift brackets allow the entire adapter-plus-magnet assembly to be transported horizontally between stations. The lift magnet is sold separately.

The AL1600 AdvantageLift is a 1,600 lb working load limit permanent rare-earth lifting magnet that occupies similar capacity territory to the PowerLift PNL1600. Both are compact, industrial-grade on/off lifters built for fabrication and material handling. The AdvantageLift is suited for demanding daily use environments where a straightforward, reliable 1,600 lb lifter is needed without the expanded model range or feature complexity of the PowerLift family. The PowerLift series, by contrast, steps up to 2,500 lb (PNL2500) and focuses specifically on the locking handle and internal release mechanism as differentiating safety features. For buyers with a specific 1,600 lb duty and simple, proven operation as the priority, the AL1600 is the direct option; for buyers who may scale to 2,500 lb or want the PowerLift's specific safety architecture, the PNL series is the better path.

The Mag-Mate Magnetic Clamping Blocks (MBX07PK2 and related models) are on/off rare-earth magnetic V-blocks designed to hold flat, round, square, and angled steel workpieces in position for welding, tacking, and fabrication setup. The V-block geometry provides multi-surface contact on cylindrical and square profiles as well as flat plate, and the on/off handle lets the operator position and instantly secure a workpiece without tightening mechanical clamps or just as quickly release it for repositioning. In welding shops, fast, accurate fixturing is directly tied to weld quality and throughput: a part that shifts during tacking produces rework; a part that's reliably held produces repeatable results. Magnetic clamping blocks are particularly valuable on welding tables and fixturing plates where workpieces change frequently across a production run.

Every lifting magnet and manhole system in the collection is designed to conform with ASME B30.20 (Below-the-Hook Lifting Devices) and BTH-1 Design Category B, Service Class 3 which is the industry-standard framework for permanent magnetic lifting devices in North America. The 3:1 design factor means each unit is rated to hold three times its stated working load limit before reaching the design limit, providing a substantial safety margin above the nominal working load. All products ship with a load-test certificate documenting that the individual unit has been factory-tested, along with a user operation and safety manual covering rated capacities, operating conditions, inspection intervals, and prohibited applications. These documents are required for compliance records in regulated environments such as aerospace suppliers, defense contractors, and facilities operating under ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.

All Magnetics orders ship free to the continental USA, backed by a best-price guarantee. A 30-day return policy and Affirm financing at checkout are available across the full product range. Government agencies, contractors, and institutional buyers can submit an RFQ through the dedicated Government RFQ page (DUNS: 13-715-2209, CAGE: 15F67). Selecting the right lifting magnet involves matching working load limit, surface geometry (flat, round, or vertical), duty cycle, heat environment, and accessory compatibility because getting it wrong means either an undersized unit or unnecessary cost on an oversized one.
