The eBee VISION is a small fixed-wing flying-wing aircraft with a 118 cm (46.4 in) wingspan and a mission-ready weight of 1.85 kg (4.1 lbs). Maximum flight endurance is 90 minutes per battery charge providing up to 60 minutes of active observation time at 15 km from the takeoff position, and a total range of up to 70 km (43.5 mi) per charge. Cruising airspeed ranges from 12.5 to 22.5 m/s (28–50 mph). Maximum wind resistance is 17 m/s (38 mph). The operating temperature envelope spans -10°C to +49°C (+14°F to +120°F), and the system has been tested to a takeoff altitude of 3,000 m (9,800 ft) above mean sea level, with a maximum rated ceiling of 5,000 m (16,000 ft). The eBee VISION carries a stabilized dual-camera gimbal module housing three sensors: a wide-angle EO camera (Sony IMX230, 21 MP, 1x–4.8x zoom, 72°×45° FOV), a telephoto EO camera (Sony IMX230, 21 MP, 4.9x–32x zoom, 21°×12° FOV), and a FLIR Boson thermal camera (640×512, 18mm focal length, 24°×19° FOV, 30 Hz, 50mK sensitivity). Together these enable day and night detection of vehicles at up to 5 km (3.1 mi) distance at that range a small vehicle occupies approximately 11×4 pixels in zoom mode. A person can be detected at 3–4 km in zoom mode and recognized at closer ranges. The gimbal is mechanically and software-stabilized and locks onto a designated target in location mode with optical drift correction, maintaining the object at center frame automatically.
The eBee VISION's Microhard pMDDL2450 radio operates in the license-free 2.4 GHz ISM band with AES-256 encryption and 30 dBm transmit power. The included short-range antenna configuration provides up to 5 km (3.1 mi) operational range. An optional medium-range antenna kit on a tripod extends this to 15 km (9.3 mi), and an optional long-range antenna kit reaches 20 km (12.4 mi) all within the same 2.4 GHz band with no additional frequency permits required worldwide. In GNSS-denied conditions from jamming or electronic warfare, the eBee VISION autonomously maintains stable flight using airspeed odometry fused with IMU data and last-known wind estimation, and can return to home from up to 10 km (6.2 mi) with approximately 1 km (0.6 mi) position accuracy without any GNSS signal. Operators can also manually point the camera at a known landmark on the map to correct the aircraft's position estimate in real time.
The eBee VISION is fully NDAA-compliant. Designed, assembled, and supported in Switzerland and the United States without the use of embargoed critical components. Its cybersecurity architecture is built around three layers. First, a SEALSQ Secure Element chip (NIST FIPS 140-2 Level 3, Common Criteria EAL5+ certified) performs all cryptographic operations, protects the drone's unique ECDSA private key (P521), and digitally signs every photo taken enabling forensic authentication of imagery. Second, all SD card data is encrypted with AES-XTS 512-bit keys in a LUKS2 volume; the passphrase is stored only on the GCS and never on the aircraft, so a captured drone yields no recoverable data. Third, all software is digitally signed by AgEagle, the boot sequence verifies software integrity at every initialization, and remote or local access to the embedded operating system is completely blocked. No data is ever shared with AgEagle or any third party.
The eBee VISION is built for seamless integration with U.S. and NATO defense command and control ecosystems. TAK (Team Awareness Kit) connectivity including WinTAK and ATAK is native: the GCS pushes drone callsign, location, speed, course, attitude, payload attitude, and battery status to any TAK server via Cursor-On-Target (COT) protocol, and automatically enables video stream detection in compliant TAK software. Nett Warrior is supported through a dedicated connector integrated directly into the GCS handle. Video streaming is STANAG 4609 compatible (MPEG2-TS/H.264), with KLV metadata embedded in the video stream. The system is also MAVLINK and QGC-Gov compatible. Blue UAS RAS-A IOP standards are supported, qualifying the eBee VISION for DoD procurement through authorized defense purchasing channels. The eBee VISION's silent tactical landing mode sets the landing point directly beneath the drone's current position and orients the aircraft into the wind to minimize approach speed then turns off the motors entirely for a silent glide descent. This is used when stealth is operationally critical, when motor failure has occurred, or in emergency situations. From a passive detection standpoint, the eBee VISION produces 85 dB at 60 m distance and is non-audible from 500 m with low ambient noise. It is invisible to the naked eye from 500 m. The 3.5 lb airframe uses a specular-reflection-minimizing design and shark-fin antennas that minimize aerodynamic drag and radar cross-section. The gimbal retracts into the fuselage body for takeoff, landing, and transit flight reducing drag during transit and protecting the payload until deployed over the operating area.
The eBee VISION is built on the UXV SRoC platform, a ruggedized MIL-STD-810H certified controller based on the Panasonic FZ-S1 tablet. The 7" display (1280×800, 750 nit, anti-reflective, rain-sensing and glove-touch capable) is direct-bonded for outdoor visibility. The Qualcomm SDM660 2.2GHz octa-core processor handles all flight application tasks locally with no internet connection required. The modular SRM radio platform is swappable for different antenna configurations, from the included pocketable short-range setup up to the tripod-mounted long-range kit. The eBee VISION flight application provides five operational flight modes covering the full spectrum of ISR mission types. Flight Plan mode allows pre-planned multi-waypoint missions with unlimited waypoints and real-time in-flight modification. Mapping mode automatically generates an optimal flight path over a designated area for full-coverage imagery collection. Scouting mode enables active target tracking hence the aircraft follows a moving target in view with user-adjustable distance, altitude, and loiter direction. Manual mode gives the operator full joystick control of altitude and course with the sensor locked forward. Observation mode is the core ISR mode: the aircraft automatically flies optimized patterns such as circle for close range, figure-8 or ellipse for long range and around a designated point of interest to maintain maximum payload visibility on the target, automatically choosing between patterns based on wind direction and observation geometry to prevent gimbal wrapping.
