When you need a fast Go/No-Go check on shaft or cylinder diameters, without a full bore gauge setup, a snap gauge gets the job done in seconds. The Insize 2186 Dial Snap Gauge features carbide measuring faces and a chamfered anvil design, giving machinists a durable, repeatable way to verify diameters on the production floor.

  • Carbide measuring faces on both anvils resist wear from repeated contact
  • Chamfered anvil edges make workpiece insertion smooth and easy
  • Retracting left anvil (2mm stroke) allows the workpiece to be positioned and removed without binding
  • Low, consistent measuring force (6-8N) minimizes deflection error on the part being checked
  • Tight flatness and repeatability specs ensure consistent readings across repeated checks
