The Insize 2436 Pistol Grip Groove Bore Gauge series is designed to measure internal groove diameters using a pistol grip handle for one-handed operation and improved control. Each gauge uses retractable contact points that collapse to pass through the bore opening, then extend to make contact with the groove wall, allowing accurate readings even on grooves set back from the bore entrance. The series spans a wide selection of ranges from .24"-.32" up to 1.58"-7.87" (models 2436-8 through 2436-200) making it a practical solution for machine shops and inspection labs that need to check retaining ring grooves, seal grooves, and other internal recesses across small and large bore diameters. As with other Insize bore gauges, the digital indicator and setting ring needed to complete the readout are sold separately.
