Covering a range of .008"-.197" (0.2-5mm), the gauge is suitable for bores with a diameter greater than .236" and chamfer angles greater than 30°, making it a practical tool for machine shops and inspection labs checking edge breaks, countersinks, and other chamfered features. The 2944-1 comes complete with a setting gage, so you have what you need to calibrate the unit and start taking measurements right out of the box.
