The Mahr MarStand 107 is the purpose-designed underframe and cabinet stand for the Mahr MarStand 107 granite surface plate series, providing the structural support, three-point leveling, and ergonomic working height that every 107 G plate from 630mm and above requires for stable, accurate measurement use. Extremely sturdy design due to the rectangular tubes, the 107 is built as an enclosed cabinet giving the installation a clean, professional appearance while providing the enclosed underframe space for accessory and tool storage directly at the measurement station.

The 107 is available in five sizes, each matched to a specific 107 plate footprint: 630×400mm, 630×630mm, 800×500mm, 1000×630mm, and 1200×800mm. Each frame size is engineered to the weight and footprint of its corresponding plate, and the 900–1000mm height-adjustable range brings the plate working surface to ergonomic standing height for operators of different statures without requiring shims, leveling blocks, or workbench modifications.

The leveling system uses three height-adjustable support points, a kinematically correct three-point contact arrangement that defines the plate's plane without over-constraining it. Three-point support eliminates the rocking and instability inherent to four-point and flat-surface support schemes, ensures the plate can be leveled independently of floor flatness and floor levelness, and guarantees that no twisting or bending forces are introduced into the granite body through the stand contact points which would distort the plate's certified flatness. For plate sizes that are greater than 1000 mm, two additional height adjustable supports are required to prevent tilting. These additional supports for large-format plates (available separately) prevent long-span overhang deflection under load without introducing measurement-distorting over-constraint. All 4 corners have a support to prevent slipping and to protect against a collision, adding resistance to lateral displacement and providing impact protection for the base of the stand and the bottom edges of the plate.

The 107 is the enclosed cabinet variant of the Mahr surface plate underframe range. For installations where the enclosed storage and cabinet-style appearance of the 107 are not required, the open frame 107 variant provides the same three-point leveling and structural support in a simpler, lighter open-frame construction. The 107adjustable plate supports are the correct choice for smaller plates (up to 400mm short dimension) intended for workbench use rather than stand mounting.
