Phase2+ 900-390 Micro Vickers Hardness Tester
The Phase2+ 900-390 is an advanced micro Vickers hardness tester designed for precision hardness analysis where standard Rockwell and Brinell methods cannot provide the resolution or indentation control required. These versatile and user-friendly systems are designed for the accurate hardness testing of small precision parts, thin materials, coatings, wires, and case depth determinations making the 900-390 series the instrument of choice for metallography laboratories, heat treat quality control, failure analysis, and production inspection environments that demand microhardness-level precision.
The 900-390 series includes a video camera, adapter, USB output cable, and a choice of two variants of measurement software, giving users the capabilities of machines that cost thousands more. The 900-390A includes manual measurement software, allowing diagonal indentation measurements to be taken by mouse click on the PC display. The 900-390B upgrades to automatic edge detection software, where the system identifies and measures the Vickers indentation diagonals automatically for faster, more consistent throughput and the 900-390A can be upgraded to 900-390B software at any time.
All information including diagonal line lengths of the indentation, hardness values, data statistics, and hardness conversions can be displayed on the LCD as well as a laptop or PC. Conforming to ASTM E-384/92 Vickers hardness tester standards, the 900-390 series offers unmatched repeatability across its full testing range of 1–2967 HV, and can also measure Knoop hardness after installing an optional Knoop indentor. A 5-year warranty and free lifetime technical support are included with every unit.
