Phase2+ 900-398 Digital Macro Vickers Hardness Tester
The Phase2+ 900-398 is Phase2+'s digital macro Vickers hardness tester, bridging the gap between micro Vickers testing and full-scale macro hardness methods. Designed for the accurate hardness testing of small precision parts, thin materials, case-hardened layers, and all sorts of steel components, the 900-398 covers the load range from 1 kg to 50 kg with digital technology putting heavy-duty Vickers test forces into a precise, controllable, load cell-driven system that delivers consistent and reproducible results across all nine selectable test forces.
The 900-398 is engineered to produce a clear indentation and a more precise measurement. By means of a load cell closed circuit system, the CPU controls the testing force through load, dwell, and unload automatically, allowing for the highest degree of accuracy. The large LCD displays the measuring method, testing force value, indentation length, hardness value, dwell time, and the number of measurements on screen all alongside full hardness conversions accessible directly on the display or on a connected PC.
Available in two software variants, the 900-398A includes manual measurement software for mouse-click diagonal measurement, while the 900-398B features automatic edge detection software that identifies and measures Vickers indentation diagonals without operator input. The 900-398A software version can be upgraded to the 900-398B version at any time, protecting the investment as workflow needs evolve. Both models ship complete with a digital video camera, adapter, USB cable, built-in mini printer with RS-232 interface, and software. A 5-year warranty and free lifetime technical support are included.
