The Phase2+ 900-415 series brings closed-loop load cell technology and full touch screen automation to Rockwell hardness testing across three frame configurations, the standard 900-415, the Tall Boy 900-415TB, and the Extra Tall Boy 900-415XTB allowing buyers to match vertical capacity to their specific part sizes without sacrificing any features or performance.
Each model in this series features fully automated load/unload procedures for highly sensitive and accurate readings, a microcomputer-controlled touch screen with USB output to flash drive, and programmable scale conversions, dwell times, statistical capabilities, and a test counter all while remaining capable of testing in all standard Rockwell hardness scales.
The critical difference from conventional dead weight Rockwell testers is the force application method: the direct loading method uses a load cell instead of a dead weight system, enabling a high speed test cycle with extremely accurate loading control eliminating the friction, vibration sensitivity, and mechanical variability inherent to traditional designs. All three models automatically convert results to Brinell (HB), Vickers (HV), and Superficial Rockwell scales, with configurable upper/lower limit settings for pass/fail inspection workflows.
The 900-415 is the standard frame model with an 8.0" vertical capacity for the widest range of benchtop applications. The 900-415TB (Tall Boy) extends vertical capacity to 15.7" for larger components, and the 900-415XTB (Extra Tall Boy) pushes this further to 24" for the most demanding large-part testing scenarios — all on the same proven load cell platform with identical electronics, resolution, and included accessories.
