The Phase2+ 900-505 is the most fully automated micro Vickers hardness tester in the Phase2+ lineup - a complete, PC-driven hardness testing system that integrates a programmable motorized XYZ stage, automatic turret, and fully automatic measurement software into a single cohesive platform purpose-built for high-throughput metallography labs and precision production QC environments.
The 900-505 micro Vickers hardness tester includes an automated XYZ platform and controllers along with Auto-Turret, video camera, adapter, USB output cable, and automatic measurement software. Where the 900-390 and 900-391 series require an operator to manually position the specimen between test points, the 900-505 automates the entire test sequence from specimen positioning, turret switching, indentation, measurement, and data capture following any of 14 fully programmable test patterns programmed directly into the software.
The system is designed to test in both Vickers (HV) and Knoop (HK) hardness scales, with fully programmable and automatic hardness testing in both methods. Eight dedicated Vickers scales (HV0.01 through HV1) and eight Knoop scales (HK0.01 through HK1) are available, with dwell times programmable from 0 to 90 seconds in 5-second increments and test forces covering the full range from 10g to 1000g. The 900-505 can toggle back and forth between Vickers and Knoop measurement with automatic turret switching and the turret can also be operated manually when needed. Conforming to ASTM E-384/92 Vickers hardness tester standards, the 900-505 series offers unmatched repeatability, and is offered with a 5-year warranty and free lifetime technical support.
