The Phase2+ SRG-4600 is the flagship portable surface roughness tester in the Phase II lineup, delivering the highest level of confidence for production, shop floor, and QC lab surface finish measurement with extended memory, dual-mode output, and a broad suite of updated useful functions. As the most capable model in the SRG series, the SRG-4600 builds on the proven SRG-4000 platform by adding Bluetooth wireless auto-start output as a standard feature alongside USB, expanding the roughness parameter set from four to nine, and upgrading to a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for sustained use without battery replacement.

The SRG-4600 provides extremely sensitive and highly accurate readings via nine roughness parameters - Ra, Rz, Rq (Rms), Rt, Rs, Rsm, Rmax, Rpc, and Rmr - with a hypersensitive 5 µm diamond tip stylus delivering 0.001 µm display resolution. The measuring range covers Ra and Rq from 0.01 to 40 µm and Rz, Rt, and Rm from 0.02 to 160 µm, with measuring accuracy of +/- 10% and repeatability of less than or equal to 6%. 

The easy interface allows operator-selectable changes to measurement units, cutoff length, sampling length, parameter, stylus position level, and digital filter, with results displayed as large characters on the LCD screen for easy recognition. The SRG-4600 measures flat surfaces, inside and outside diameters, and grooves and recessions wider than 4 mm (0.16 in.). The instrument ships with a calibrated reference standard with support plate, Bluetooth auto-start unit, leveling plate, stylus protector, AC adapter, and rugged carry case. An optional micro printer, precision stand, and PC software are available as accessories, along with a full range of application-specific stylus options including deep groove, small hole, curved surface, and stylus extensions.
