Phase2+ UTG-2675 Ultrasonic Thickness w/High Resolution
The Phase2+ UTG-2675 is a state-of-the-art handheld ultrasonic thickness gauge engineered specifically for the measurement of ultra-thin materials where standard-resolution instruments fall short. A simple to use, highly accurate instrument, the UTG-2675 delivers the ability to measure ultra-thin materials in super high resolution, combining a state-of-the-art microprocessor and ultrasonic technology with outstanding features including quick scan and extended memory.
The UTG-2675 features a 2.4-inch QVGA true color OLED display with 10000:1 contrast ratio and stores up to 100,000 thickness values and 1,000 waveforms in its large on-board data memory. The instrument operates on the delay line probe ultrasonic measuring principle, supporting both standard and dual element measuring modes for reliable readings across a broad range of materials including metals, plastics, ceramics, glass, and other materials. Display modes include Normal, Minimum/Maximum capture, DIFF/RR%, live A-Scan waveform, and timed B-Scan, giving operators the visual tools to verify readings with the highest level of confidence on even the most critical applications.
Unique features of the UTG-2675 include through-coating measurement capability, live A-Scan and timed B-Scan, ultra-high resolution of 0.0001 inch (0.001 mm), and large data memory storing 100,000 thickness values and 1,000 waveforms. Minimum and maximum alarms with dynamic waveform color change on alarm, automatic V-path correction, selectable update rates of 4, 8, and 16 Hz, and a material velocity range of 500 to 9999 m/s cover the full spectrum of NDT and production thickness inspection requirements. The instrument ships complete with a certificate of calibration, operation manual, and custom carry case.
Key Features
-
Ultra-High Resolution of 0.0001 in. (0.001 mm) - Three selectable resolution levels 0.001 mm, 0.01 mm, and 0.1 mm in metric, or 0.0001 in., 0.001 in., and 0.01 in. in imperial allow operators to match resolution to the application, with the finest setting enabling measurement of material thicknesses that standard gauges cannot reliably resolve.
-
Through-Coating Measurement Capability - The dual element measuring mode enables thickness measurement through coatings and surface layers without requiring coating removal, reducing preparation time and protecting part surfaces during inspection.
-
Live A-Scan and Timed B-Scan Display Modes - Full-color live A-Scan waveform display and time-based B-Scan cross-section profiling provide operators with visual verification of probe coupling and measurement accuracy, essential for critical inspection applications where a numeric value alone is insufficient.
-
100,000-Value Memory with 1,000 Waveform Storage - The large on-board data memory stores up to 100,000 thickness measurements and 1,000 full waveforms for comprehensive documentation, traceability, and post-inspection data review without PC connection during the measurement process.
-
Dynamic Alarm with Waveform Color Change - Configurable minimum and maximum thickness alarms trigger an immediate dynamic color change on the waveform display when readings fall outside of tolerance, providing an unambiguous visual alert for out-of-specification conditions during scanning.
-
2.4-Inch QVGA True Color OLED Display with 35+ Hour Battery Life - The 320 x 240 pixel true color OLED display with 10000:1 contrast ratio delivers clear, readable results in any ambient lighting condition, while the two AA battery power supply provides over 35 hours of continuous operation time.
